This is a play about the true meaning of Christmas as explained to an alien who has no idea of what Christmas is. It was adapted and written when the author needed a play that would have enough parts for her classroom of 35 students. This story is told by a chorus of children and a band of angels in heaven. This is a scene from the book: s more than lovely. It’s beautiful. I certainly hope she sings it this time.
Angel 1: Where’s Little Carol?
Angel 2: She’s—why, she isn’t here.
Angel 3: Again. She missed the celebration again. Angel
4: It’s time to tell God. We must find out why she’s always late for the Christmas celebration. Surely she’ll tell God.
Angel 5: It’s time to go.
